EPSY474 re-introduction

Since my other blog didn’t seem to be working correctly, I’ll repost here.

Let’s see…  I think I began with how great it is to see everyone’s familiar faces again; and that it seems like only a few weeks ago that many of us were in the middle of summer classes, and here it is, the start of fall semester already–wait a minute: that WAS only a few weeks ago…

As many of you already know, I am an Educational Technology Specialist for the Computer Science department at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  What that means is, I am called upon for just about anything multimedia in nature–ranging from tech support to faculty to maintaining our online master’s degree program, and everything in between.  In my spare time (yeah, right!) I try to enjoy reading, writing, movies, golf, biking, tinkering with computers, and entertaining my family.

As for what I expect from EPSY474 this fall…  I know very little about the assessment and evaluation of learning technologies, so I am interested in finding out exactly what that is.
